Silcott Legacy Roofing and Exteriors finds where the water is getting in, photographs it, and repairs it, whether that is a cracked pipe boot, failed step flashing at a chimney, a nail pop, or a valley that has worn through. If a repair would only buy a season, we say so.

Derek inspects the roof surface, the flashing, and the attic side where it is accessible, and photographs the entry point so you can see it.

Repair with a written scope
You get a scope that names the fix and what it includes. If the honest answer is that the roof is done, the scope says that instead.
Where Ohio roofs usually leak
Around chimneys, where old step flashing has been tarred over. At plumbing vents, where the rubber pipe boot cracks after ten or fifteen summers. In valleys, where two roof planes push water together and the shingles wear first. At sidewalls where a lower roof meets siding. And after wind storms, anywhere a shingle tab lifted and let the seal break.
We check all of those on every repair call, not just the spot under the stain.
Repair or replace
A ten-year-old roof with one bad pipe boot needs a boot. A twenty-five-year-old roof with brittle shingles that break when you lift them to slide in flashing needs a conversation. We will tell you which one you have and put both options in writing if it is a close call.
Winter repairs and ice dams
Ice dams along the eaves are common on older Circleville and Chillicothe homes with limited attic insulation and ventilation. We can repair the water damage they cause and, when the roof is replaced, run ice and water shield where it stops the problem. We do not use salt or chip ice off shingles, and we will tell you when a roof is too icy to work on safely.

Do you do small repairs or only full roofs?
We do repairs. A single pipe boot or a run of missing shingles is a normal call for us. Some very small jobs are best combined with a full inspection so we do not miss the second problem next to the first.
How fast can you get to a leak?
Call and we will give you an honest time based on the schedule and the weather. We do not advertise emergency response times we cannot promise.
Can you tarp a roof before the repair?
Yes. When a roof is open to the weather and the permanent repair has to wait, we can tarp and make temporary repairs to keep more water out.
